Driver restraints and dummy kinematics
Dummy movement was reasonably well controlled. There was too much upward steering wheel movement. During rebound, the deployed driver side curtain airbag kept the dummy's head away from the B-pillar.
A

Action shot taken during the frontal offset crash test; the side curtain airbag on the driver side inflated during the crash.

The dummy's position in relation to the steering wheel and instrument panel after the crash test indicates that the driver's survival space was maintained well.

The inflated side curtain airbag kept the dummy's head away from hard structure during rebound.

Intrusion into the driver's space was minimal, and all leg and foot injury measures were low.
