Driver restraints and dummy kinematics |
Action shot taken during the frontal offset crash test.
The driver's survival space was maintained reasonably well, although there was moderate rearward movement of the instrument panel.
The restraint system effectively controlled the dummy's movement during the offset test.
Moderate intrusion into the footwell area bent the dummy's ankle sharply, and forces on the left tibia indicate the possibility of lower leg injury.
