The Honda Fit was redesigned for the 2015 model year. (The 2014 model year was skipped except for a limited number of plug-in battery-electric variants.) Beginning with the 2017 model year, changes were made to the structure, driver airbag, and steering column. Moderate overlap frontal ratings are assigned by the Institute based on a test of a 2017 Fit conducted by Honda.
