Driver restraints and dummy kinematics
Dummy movement was well controlled. After the dummy moved forward into the airbag, it rebounded into the seat without its head coming close to any hard structures that could cause injury. There was too much upward movement of the steering wheel.
A

Action shot taken during the frontal offset crash test.

The driver's survival space was maintained reasonably well, although there was more steering wheel movement than is desirable.

Dummy movement was well controlled. The dummy settled straight back into the driver seat after the impact.

This view of the Odyssey's underside shows that the engine cradle (green) and side rails (yellow) bent and absorbed much of the crash energy, reducing intrusion into the driver space.
