The Land Rover Discovery was introduced in the 1994 model year. Production of this model continued until early in the 1999 model year, when it was re-engineered and renamed the Discover Series II.

Driver restraints and dummy kinematics Dummy movement was reasonably well controlled. After the dummy moved forward into the airbag, it rebounded into the seat without its head coming close to any stiff structure. There was too much upward movement of the steering wheel. |

The airbag and lap/shoulder belt interacted with other vehicle parts in the offset test to control dummy movement reasonably well.
