Driver restraints and dummy kinematics
Dummy movement was reasonably well controlled. During rebound, the dummy moved toward the driver door, then its head went through the open window and hit the B-pillar.
A

Action shot taken during the frontal offset crash test.

Although the roof rail began to buckle, the driver's upper interior survival space was maintained reasonably well.

Footwell and instrument panel intrusion contributed to the risk of injury to the left leg/knee and trapped the right foot.

Smeared greasepaint indicates where the dummy's head hit the B-pillar during the offset test. High head acceleration was recorded from this hit.
